01 · Mid-stream

A generative wrapper inspects the prompt going in, or the answer once it has finished. Everything in between goes unwatched.
Sentinel assesses the stream while it flows: audit checks run against each window of frames or tokens, and the verdict is part of the live output. By the time an end-checker would have started reading, the event is already on record.

02 · Workplace safety
The camera already sees it. Now it counts.
Live vision runs the scenario rules you wrote: who is in the zone, what is blocking the exit, whether the lift area is clear.
An event is a frame, a rule and a timestamp, recorded together and handed to a chain: notify the shift lead, open the work order, hold the permit. The footage that proves it is filed with the finding.
Leaks count the same as slips. A spill spreading on the floor, smoke where there should be none, discharge at an outfall: each one recorded with the frames that show it.

A candidate's session is a stream like a camera feed. The rules you wrote run against it window by window, anything flagged is quoted with its timestamp, and the flag goes to your invigilator to decide. Never to an automatic penalty.
When the stream is a model's answer, the audit runs mid-stream: policy criteria checked while the output is being produced, the violating span quoted, severity banded with written reasoning, the verdict emitted before the answer completes.

04 · Audit logs
The audit log writes itself.
Every verdict, permit and finding is stored with the values it was decided on. Nothing is written up after the fact.
The permit is the clearest case. At signing time the chain checks live values: the certificate on record, the gas reading, the zone on camera. All present, it authorises with a signature and stores what it was signed on. Any missing, it holds and names the failing value. When the auditor asks, the log already exists.
Every authorisation stores the values it was signed on. An expired certificate tomorrow holds tomorrow's permit, automatically.
